For the past six years, Rockella Member Alejandra Rojas has been an important part of the One Eyed Studios community.

During her time with us, Alejandra has generously shared her creativity, energy, and vision with fellow artists and visitors alike. From opening her studio during numerous Open Studio events to hosting Barro, a thoughtful exhibition and panel discussion exploring contemporary ceramic practice, she has continually contributed to the vibrant culture that makes One Eyed Studios such a special place to create.

As Alejandra prepares to begin an exciting new chapter in her practice, she is opening the doors to her current workspace at One Eyed Studios one final time and inviting the public inside.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the studio where much of her work has been developed over the last six years and purchase a selection of prototypes, experiments, one-of-a-kind pieces, and works that have rarely been seen outside the studio.

In Alejandra's words:

“Everything here was made to ask a question. Some of those answers are now available to take home: the prototypes, the one-of-a-kinds, the experiments that never made it to the shop because they were never meant to be shown.”

Whether you’ve followed Alejandra’s work for years or are discovering it for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of an artist’s practice and celebrate the next stage of her journey.

ABOUT ALEJANDRA ROJAS

Alejandra Rojas is an architect who designs in clay. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, between an artist mother and a civil engineer father, she grew up immersed in both the conceptual and the constructed, a tension that still drives her work. She founded her studio to continue her architectural practice at the scale of everyday objects, generating each form through digital algorithms before fabricating it with traditional slip-casting. Her pieces function as tables, candlesticks, and vessels, but exist primarily as structural inquiries: architectural thinking made tangible.
