“Decolonizing the self in the everyday begins with a curiosity of who we are and how we participate in the world around us. We engage in questions about the self daily, yet normative knowledge production practices are confounded by its multiplicity, inconsistency, and contradictions. This show weaves embodiment, expressive arts, and Ulysse’s Rasanblaj together as a methodology to know the self. This collection is a step toward decolonizing the everyday of my life. It is a process of confronting shadows. It is a process of learning to live responsibly in a world laden with complexities.”
