Once a month, the doors at Rockella Midtown open a little wider.
On April 25th, we will open our doors at Rockella Midtown to the wider community for a day of connection, creativity, and open access.
Not just for a walkthrough—but for a more personal look into what it actually feels like to work here.
Our Monthly Open House is designed for artists, makers, and creatives who are searching for a space of their own. Whether you’re actively looking or just starting to consider what a dedicated studio could do for your practice, this is an opportunity to experience Rockella beyond the listing page.
Throughout the day, visitors are invited to explore a range of available studios at their own pace. You’ll find everything from larger, light-filled spaces with expansive windows—ideal for those needing room to scale—to more budget-friendly studios that still sit within a professional, supportive environment. The goal is simple: to offer options that meet you where you are in your practice and where you want to go next.
What makes the Open House different is the access.
Rockella staff are on hand throughout the day—not just to answer questions, but to help you think through what kind of space actually works for you. Whether that means discussing lease options, walking you through the application process, or giving you a more tailored, private tour of specific studios, the experience is meant to be conversational, not transactional.
You’ll also have the chance to meet some of the artists already working behind these doors. The Open House offers a glimpse into the community that defines Rockella—one that is active, diverse, and deeply committed to creative practice.
For those ready to take the next step, applications can be started on-site, making it easy to move from browsing to securing a space.

NRAC Spring Workshop Series: Intro to Screen Printing: Design, Ink & Repeat
Join RRASP Resident Partner, the New Renaissance Art Center, for a hands-on introduction to screen printing during the Rockella Midtown Open House.
This beginner-friendly workshop walks you through the fundamentals of screen printing—from preparing your design to pulling your first print. Learn how this versatile technique is used to create multiples across surfaces like posters, textiles, and more.
Bring your own design if you’d like to print something personal, or experiment on-site and learn through the process. The workshop will include a live emulsion exposure demonstration (a key step in the process), briefly taking place in a darkened room before returning to the main studio.
No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little inky.
Free and open to all Open House attendees.
