Announcing Rockella Midtown Monthly Open House
Last Saturday of Every Month | 1–6pm
520 8th Ave, 24th Floor, Manhattan
We’re excited to introduce a new recurring public program at Rockella Midtown: our Monthly Open House.
Beginning Saturday, March 28, we will open our doors to the wider community on the last Saturday of every month, establishing a dedicated day for connection, creativity, and open access.
Each Open House will feature:
Visiting and engaging with artists in their studios
Personal tours exploring current studio availability
Direct access to staff to discuss membership and applications
A featured workshop hosted by RRASP Resident New Renaissance Art Center
Rotating creative programming such as live music, poetry readings, or other performances
This is not simply a studio tour. It is an invitation into the ecosystem of Rockella Midtown. A space to meet working artists, experience studios in process, and imagine yourself within the community.
Every month, we will release a dedicated newsletter outlining that month’s workshop and special programming, so make sure to sign up here to keep posted on what’s next!
Whether you’re looking for a studio, hoping to connect with artists, or simply interested in experiencing the studios in action, we invite you to join us.
RSVP by emailing info@rockella.space with a time between 1-6pm that you would like to attend for a private tour or just show up! Make sure to bring I.D to present at the building entrance!
NRAC Spring Workshop Series: Lazy Valentine & White Day Event
As part of this month’s Open House, RRASP’s Partnership Program Resident New Renaissance Art Center will host Lazy Valentine and White Day Event, inspired by Japan’s sweet “return the favor” holiday. The day is a relaxed, process-focused workshops centered on handmade gift-making.
Participants will explore:
-
Origami techniques for creating flowers and small baskets
-
Collage-based memory albums or personalized boards
-
Incorporating simple 3D paper elements into album pages
-
Hand-stitching paper with personalized messages
-
Optional wood engraving (participants must bring their own wooden surface)
The workshop is designed as a calm, welcoming environment and an alternative Valentine’s experience that prioritizes care, creativity, and intentional making. All basic materials will be provided, and light snacks will be available.
Suggested donations welcome!
Whether you join us to explore studio space, connect with artists, or spend the afternoon making something by hand, the Open House offers multiple ways to participate in the Rockella Midtown community.
