We’re excited to announce a new series of workshops, open studio sessions, and community events hosted by New Renaissance Art Center (NRAC) in partnership with RRASP at Rockella Midtown.
These programs are designed for artists and creatives of all levels—from beginners to experienced makers—offering opportunities to learn new techniques, develop personal projects, and connect with a growing creative community.
Open Studio Sessions With Gina
Every Friday | 1–8 PM

A free, relaxed studio environment led by Gina, where artists can work on personal projects while receiving guidance if needed.
Perfect for artists seeking creative accountability, peer support, and dedicated time to focus on their work.
Twilight Movie Nights – Art History Through Film
Every Friday | 6–8 PM

Learn art history through cinema during our Twilight Movie Nights. Each screening features films about influential artists selected for their historical accuracy and thoughtful portrayal of artistic practice.
Manga Lab
Fridays & Saturdays | 2–4 PM
Starts April 4th, 2026
Learn how to create your own manga, from concept to portfolio-ready work. This workshop teaches storytelling, character design, and visual language inspired by Japanese manga, while also incorporating techniques used in Chinese manhua and Korean manhwa.
Drawing & Painting Workshop
Every Saturday | 10 AM
Starts April 4th, 2026
This recurring workshop introduces foundational and experimental drawing and painting techniques. Students can bring their own projects and receive guidance tailored to their artistic goals.
Creative Journaling
First & Last Tuesday of Each Month
Starts April 7th, 2026
Inspired by The Artist’s Way, this workshop helps artists overcome creative blocks through writing exercises that translate into visual art.
Participants will experiment with collage, watercolor, drawing, sewing on paper, and mixed media, transforming writing prompts into expressive visual journals.
