Performance Grant
Franklin Furnace awards grants annually to early career artists selected by peer panel review to enable them to produce major performance artworks in New York City. Fund grants range between $2,000 and $10,000 based on the peer review panel allocation of funding received by Franklin Furnace.

MICROGRANT
The Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art in Buffalo, NY offers The BICA Microgrant, a $300 good-faith grant for artists and curators who are realizing a project in the greater Buffalo area. This is no-strings-attached money that an artist or curator can use in whatever way they feel it’s needed.

VISUAL ARTS AWARD
The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to a contemporary visual artist, who makes artwork for presentation in a contemporary art context: museums, galleries, arts non-profits, the public art realm, etc. The 15K awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose.

GRANT FOR PAINTERS
The Lillian Orlowsky and William Freed Grant is awarded annually to under-recognized American painters over the age of 45 who demonstrate financial need.

COMMISSION
The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) and Galvan Initiatives (Galvan) launched The Democracy Cycle, a new commissioning program designed to support new works that illuminate the promise, practice, imperfection, and opportunity of democracy.

AWARD
Creative Capital welcomes innovative and original new project proposals in visual arts, performing arts, film/moving image, technology, literature, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged forms. The award provides unrestricted project grants which can be drawn down over a multiyear period, bespoke professional development services, and community-building opportunities.

PRODUCTION GRANT
The Jermone Foundation’s New York City’s Film Production Grant supports eligible New York City-based early career film directors whose work takes creative risks in expanding, questioning, experimenting with, or re-imagining filmmaking with production grants of up to $30,000.

THEATRE FELLOWSHIP
The New York Theatre Workshop 2050 Administrative Fellowship is a year-long, paid, part-time fellowship for emerging theatre administrators interested in one field of interest including Artistic Workshop, Development, Education & Engagement, Executive, Finance & Operations, Literary, Marketing, Producing and Production Management.

COMMISSION
The Shed supports selected projects with a commissioning fee of up to $15,000 of producing stewardship per artist or collective.

CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROPOSALS
Print Center New York invites emerging and early-career curators to submit letters of interest for exhibition opportunities. The program aims to generate new knowledge and understanding of printmaking’s potential. Guest curators receive financial support (including a curatorial fee starting at $5,000), mentorship from subject-area experts, guidance and feedback from curatorial staff, and full production and exhibition support.

GRANT
The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists (WFF HSG) provides grants of $30,000, distributed over three years, to NYC-based visual artists in need who are seeking support for stable housing. In its inaugural cycle, the WFF HSG will award grants to five artists.

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY
under the pale blue, a contemporary art gallery based in Rockella’s One Eyed Studios, is now accepting submissions for our upcoming femme-inspired group exhibition. This show will celebrate the voices, perspectives, and talents of female and non-binary identifying artists across all artistic practices.

OPEN CALL
Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in Staten Island, New York, announced its open call for the Performing Arts Salon Saturdays (PASS) artist residency and performance program. This program will support the creation and development of new works in dance, music, theater, and multidisciplinary performance. Selected artists receive a $1,500 honorarium.

COMMISSION
New Gowanus Mini Golf Course: Arts Gowanus is partnering with Gowanus Wharf to design their forthcoming rooftop mini golf course. There will be 9 holes in total, and we’re looking for a different artist to design an obstacle or a feature for each one of them. Designs should be fun, quirky, and Gowanus-centric. This will be a permanent installation at the mini golf course. If selected for a hole the artist will receive $5000 for fabrication and installation.

ENVIRONMENTAL GRANT
The Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants (AWAW EAG) will distribute a total of $300,000 in funding—up to $20,000 per project—to support environmental art projects led by women-identifying artists in the United States and U.S. Territories.

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY
The LUX Center for the Arts is calling for exhibition proposals for their 2025/2026 exhibition calendar by new, emerging and experienced artists, students and working professionals, non-traditional and established artists.

AWARD
The Harpo Foundation Grant for Visual Artists award provides direct support to under-recognised artists 21 years or older. Must be a US Citizen.

PERFORMANCE GRANT
One New York City-based artist working in performance art will receive $10,000 to fund projects in performance, media, exhibition, and/or publication. The artist selected for the 2024 Jackie Apple grant must be a mid or late-career artist.

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY
To celebrate Pride Month, Arts Gowanus is once again partnering with Brooklyn Pride and The Old Stone House & Washington Park to present an outdoor art exhibit featuring works by Brooklyn-based LGBTQIA+ artists. We are currently accepting submissions for Rooted in Pride.
