ROCKELLA SPACE ART CRAWL 2023
May 20th and 21st, 2023
The 2023 ROCKELLA SPACE ART CRAWL is a cultural event engaging with the diverse creative communities of Brooklyn and Queens. This building-wide event host open studios, exhibitions, a curated list of performances, and musicians, all within Rockella Space’s two unique locations at One Eyed Studios, and Brown Bears Studios. ROCKELLA SPACE ART CRAWL is an opportunity to join our community and have fun while connecting with a wide range of artists who call Queens and Brooklyn home to their creative pursuits.
Spread over the weekend of May 20th and 21st, Rockella Space Members are swinging open their studio doors, giving the public a unique insight into their work and processes and an opportunity to buy original artworks and crafts directly from the Artisan. Level Art Gallery, an artist-run initiative, is set to launch on May 21st at One Eyed Studios, hosting an opening reception between 5-7 pm. Wanderer Music is presenting a program of performers during Open Studios at One Eyed Studios, and Brown Bears Studios.

Located in an old millinery factory and retaining much of the building’s original industrial charm, Brown Bears Studios hosts a large number of visual artists from painters to craftspeople, and music and sound-based artists who take advantage of our soundproof basement.

Level Gallery presents its inaugural exhibition “The Table”. Level Gallery aims to demonstrate an exhibition model for artists from diverse walks of life to cross-pollinate and sculpt culture in unconventional spaces. This is an intentional departure from the constrictions of the traditional white cube art experience.
