EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY
Anyone can submit a 500-word proposal describing a focused, idea-driven, and original group exhibition for a chance to have an Apexart exhibition.

Writing Fellowship
Artlab Editorial Fellowship is open to art writers from anywhere in the world, and at any stage of their career. The two selected Fellows will be provided $10,000 each to produce three pieces of writing for Artlab Editorial in 2025. Additionally, each Fellow will be paired with one of this year’s Fellowship Advisors for regular one-on-one guidance and mentorship throughout the program.

PUPPETRY GRANT
The Jim Henson Foundation awards grants for the creation of innovative new works of contemporary puppet theater. There are three grants: workshop grants ($3,000), production grants ($7,000), and family grants ($4,000). Individual artists must apply through a fiscal sponsor.

SCULPTURE AWARD
National Sculpture Society‘s Augusta Savage Grant is an unrestricted prize of $2,500 awarded to an emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American. Works inspired by nature are preferred.

CALL FOR EXHBIITION
Artspace, Raleigh, NC seeks exhibition proposals from visual artists and curators across the U.S. for the 2026 exhibition cycle through early 2027 in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Open to professional, mid-career and established artists and curators residing in the U.S. Two-person or group proposals by artists are also welcomed.

FELLOWSHIP
Creative Catalyst Fellowship provides opportunities for independent artists to engage the public in critical issues impacting Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) across the country. Up to eight artists will receive $30,000 contracts to produce work with the potential to break through mainstream media and catalyze conversations around the following three themes: In it Together, Belonging, and Voting Together.

SCULPTURE COMPETITION
National Sculpture Society‘s Richard McDermott Miller Competition asks artists to successfully model a bust from life (from the neck up), working from a live model. Modeling will be done in front of an audience (sculptors, patrons, and others who are attending the Sculpture Celebration).

EMERGENCY GRANT
New York Foundation for the Arts‘ Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography.

FELLOWSHIP FOR PHOTO AND MEDIA-BASED ARTISTS
The En Foco Artist Fellowship Program is designed to support artists of color who utilize lens-based mediums and digital media technologies in their creative processes. This program merges the previous Photography Fellowship and Media Arts Fund, creating a unified opportunity for photographers and media-based artists in New York State.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Feminist Press is calling for Scholarly articles and Artistic works for a special issue of WSQ, which will consider the social, affective, and political consequences of living with chronic illness. WSQ is soliciting personal and researched essays that reflect this variety and map the critical and scholarly intersections of chronic illness with disability and critical race studies, notably in relation to lupus, but also related to health and healthcare issues.

MURAL COMMISSION
Artists are invited to submit past work samples to be considered for mural projects on NYC DOT property including pedestrianized asphalt space, concrete bike lane barriers, and other site types. NYC DOT Art may provide selected artists with up to $20,000 towards direct project costs dependent on project scope, including but not limited to all labor, paint, materials, and equipment.

The Daniel K. Inouye National Center for the Preservation of Democracy (Democracy Center) at the Japanese American National Museum (JANM) is thrilled to announce the 3rd annual Irene Yamamoto Arts Writers Fellowship. This year’s fellowship will award $5,000 unrestricted awards to two emerging writers of color who write critically about music.

Prospect Art is looking for video works for their 2027 programming, “Change/Exchange.” Entries will be considered for physical exhibitions and screenings presented in Los Angeles, Lisbon, and Budapest, a series of online screenings on their BROADCAST program, as well as the publication of articles on their ONE WORK program.

Woman Made Gallery Open Call invites submissions for an exhibition exploring how women and non-binary artists use photography to engage with the pressing issues of our time. The exhibition seeks to highlight how the photographic medium—whether central or complementary to an artist’s practice—can be used to confront, question, and navigate contemporary socio-political challenges, innovative processes, and evolving technologies.

FELLOWSHIP RESEARCH
The New York Public Library’s Picture Collection, part of the Wallach Division of Art, Prints, and Photographs, is pleased to offer the Picture Collection Artist Fellowship. The Fellowship supports artists or scholars engaged in the research, development, and/or execution of a new creative or scholarly work based on the Collection’s holdings. Fellowship stipends are awarded on a sliding scale from $2,000 to $5,000.

T SHIRT DESIGN RESIDENCY
The Tombolo Artist Residency is your opportunity to collaborate with Tombolo: we will design shirts based on your artwork as you work towards a solo exhibition that we host in New York City. The residency culminates in a solo show in New York City where Tombolo will take 0% commission; along the way, we will create at least two unique Tombolo shirts from your work, from which you will receive royalty payments for each shirt sold. We will also provide a stipend and marketing exposure via Tombolo’s channels, and mentorship from Tombolo’s founders.
