Built in 1930, the building was once home to fabric producers supplying major department stores like Macy’s. Today, it continues its legacy of craftsmanship by providing 190 private studios for a diverse community of traditional craftspeople and contemporary artmakers.

Located in a sprawling 55,000-square-foot building, One Eyed Studios is home to 190 uniquely designed, light-filled, and completely private studios ranging from 100 to 400 square feet. Setting a new standard for creative workspaces, our studios are designed to inspire both solo artists and collaborative teams, offering some of the most beautifully crafted creative spaces in Brooklyn.

Thoughtfully designed with skylights and high ceilings, our studios ensure abundant natural light throughout the day. Specially engineered skylights extend from the second floor to the first, guaranteeing daylight reaches every studio, no matter its location in the building.

Blending old industrial charm with modern design, One Eyed Studios preserves the original hardwood floors, polished to perfection, alongside sleek polished concrete options for a contemporary touch. Exposed brick, industrial pipes, and ceiling beams weave throughout the space, creating a visually rich, inspiring environment that resonates with our vibrant community of artists.
