UGLY DUCKLING PRESS CALL FOR MANUSCRIPTS

Ugly Duckling Press is holding an open submission period for manuscripts. They will consider projects of any length (for chapbooks and full-length books) in any of the following genres: poetry, experimental nonfiction, performance texts, books by artists, and work in translation, particularly from languages not widely represented in US-based English translations.

The Rockella Space Summer Pilot Program is a short-term residency program offering an opportunity for 5 local artists working in all visual arts media to create work over a five-week period that will culminate in a two-week public exhibition within the same space.

PUPPET SHOWPLACE THEATRE VIRTUAL RESIDENCY

Puppet Showplace Theater will award five $1,000 grants to Black artists to support the research and development of original puppetry work. Artists will meet virtually with their cohort and cohort mentor; building community, skills, and connection while working on their project over a 2-month period beginning August 10, 2023.

CALL FOR EXHIBITION: WAVE HILL

The Arts at Wave Hill is accepting applications for the 2024 Sunroom Project Space, an opportunity for emerging, New York City-area artists to develop and exhibit a site-responsive project at Wave Hill. The exhibition spaces available for 2024 are the windowed Sunroom and Sun Porch in Glyndor Gallery and the Glyndor Terrace.
