CitizensNYC awards micro-grants up to $3,000 to community-building projects carried out by resident-led groups to improve neighborhood life, strengthen local leadership, and scale community partnerships.

Locust Projects invites local, national, and international artists to apply for the opportunity to propose ambitious multi-layered digital projects that respond to the hybridity and flexibility of Locust Projects’ physical space and various presenting platforms from onsite, galleries, interior or exterior surfaces, on screens, or online.

SCULPTURE AWARD
National Sculpture Society‘s Augusta Savage Grant is an unrestricted prize of $2,500 awarded to an emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American. Works inspired by nature are preferred.

GRANT PUPPETRY
The Jim Henson Foundation awards grants for the creation of innovative new works of contemporary puppet theater. There are three grants: workshop grants ($3,000), production grants ($7,000), and family grants ($4,000). Individual artists must apply through a fiscal sponsor.

CRAFT GRANT
CERF+’s Get Ready Grants have awarded up to $500 to individual artists working in craft disciplines to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers, and prepare for emergencies.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Literature Fellowships program offers $25,000 grants in poetry to published creative writers that enable recipients to set aside time for writing, research, travel, and general career advancement.

PUBLISHING OPPORTUNITY
The College Art Association (CAA) is accepting applications for the Millard Meiss Publication Fund. The program supports book-length scholarly manuscripts in art history, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy. Applications are submitted by the publisher.

EMERGENCY GRANT
New York Foundation for the Arts‘ Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grant program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography.

Feminist Press‘s Women’s Studies Quarterly is an unthemed open call that asks: Who is missing from WSQ‘s discourse and how can the journal remove barriers to those already actively reworlding feminisms? Submissions are accepted in all printable media.

FELLOWSHIP RESEARCH
The New York Public Library’s Picture Collection, part of the Wallach Division of Art, Prints, and Photographs, is pleased to offer the Picture Collection Artist Fellowship. The Fellowship supports artists or scholars engaged in the research, development, and/or execution of a new creative or scholarly work based on the Collection’s holdings. Fellowship stipends are awarded on a sliding scale from $2,000 to $5,000.
