NEW YORK PRINT CENTER

New Voices is Print Center New York’s annual open call program, which provides opportunities for a curator-selected cohort of six to eight U.S.–based artists to present their work and develop their practices through a group exhibition, artist-led public programming, focused conversation and community-building, and individualized resources for artistic and professional development.

DANCER EMERGENCY GRANT

New York Foundation for the Arts‘ Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grant program will provide one-time grants of up to $3,000 to professional dancers in need, who are in dire financial emergency. Common circumstances include canceled performances, cutbacks or cancellations of dance engagement contracts, loss of touring opportunities, and ongoing shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact.

BEAM CENTER OPEN CALL

Beam Center seeks design proposals for ambitious public artworks that will be brought to life through collaborations between youth and creative big thinkers. Selected project artists receive a $5,000 award and an approximately $15,000 fabrication budget.

LMCC GRANTS 

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Creative EngagementCreative Learning and UMEZ Arts Engagement programs provide technical support to applicants and awards of up to $16,000 to enable hundreds of arts projects in all disciplines, serving communities in New York City from Inwood to The Battery.

CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS 

The Design Trust for Public Space is looking for photographers to apply for its Photo Urbanism Fellowship. This year’s fellow will work with the Green Space Connections project, documenting community-designed green space at NYC public housing developments. The fellowship includes a $15,000 stipend and a solo exhibition.

WOMEN'S STUDIES QUARTERLY CALL FOR PAPERS

Women’s Studios Quarterly is a peer-reviewed journal and open to interdisciplinary submissions that explore the literary, theoretical, and cultural lifeworlds created by and about unbearable being(s) for an issue published in the fall of 2024.

HRAF CALL FOR PAPERS

The International Human Rights Art Festival (IHRAF) is now accepting submissions for Queer Voices of the World: An Anthology Responding to Worldwide LGBTQ+ Criminalization, a printed anthology of queer writers from around the world who have been impacted by anti-LGBTQ+ legislation or authoritarian movements over the past ten years.

CALL FOR FILMS

The Wavestock Film Festival is accepting short film submissions in the following categories: documentary, fictional narrative, and music video. Films must be between 1-21 minutes in length and be made after January 1, 2018.

The Haverstraw River Arts Fund Inc. requests submissions for consideration to create an original mural design in conjunction with the Haverstraw African American Connection (HAAC)’s Haverstraw African American Memorial Park in Haverstraw, NY’s Historic Downtown District.

The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried award to recognize outstanding practice by emerging and mid-career artists working in any media.

A.I.R. Gallery is currently accepting submissions for the 2024 CURRENTS Exhibition, Free Expression and the Inexpressible.
