LEVEL ART GALLERY is happy to present C.O.M.I.O (The Convergence of Many Into One), a multidisciplinary immersive experience visualizing sound and movement by One Eyed Studios Rockella Space Member Duncan Figurski, along with artists August Luhrs, Rebecca Walden, Sam Heckle, and Daniel Rautenbach. C.O.M.I.O invites the audience to participate in this paradigm-shifting experience during an interactive reception this coming Saturday, November 11th, from 6-8 p.m. at One Eyed Studios.

ABOUT C.O.M.I.O.

To qualify Abstract art as a product trivializes the fact that it has always been an exploration of the unknown. Spiritualists and mystics endeavored to represent invisible esoteric knowledge through visual representation, however, most of this lineage has been stripped from the canon of modern and postmodern art. The power of abstraction to radically transform our understanding of the world has perhaps been undermined.

Humans now have the capacity to create and perpetuate instruction which bubbles off into networked realms such as the internet. Machines give us the ability to create mutating works that continuously bloom in entropy with the world. Could this be a viable path to challenge reality on a massive scale?

The Convergence of Many Into One in an Ever Changing World is the first series of works that will use performance installations as a means to create networked spaces which shall evolve and change long past the construction of the event. Data from the performances will be analyzed and used as a starting seed for a work to take flight in a direction beyond our sight or control. The intent: to send a lobe beyond our comprehension to a time and space beyond our comprehension.
