ROCKELLA SPACE MEMBER EVENT
Have you ever had a bad experience with a doctor/ gynecologist?
Do you have (or have had: women/ non-binary) a uterus?
Join us next week as Rockella Space Member Christine DiTolvo hosts a Gynecologic Teaching Associate (GTA) Party in the Lobby area of One Eyed Studios. As a GTA presenter, Christine will go through her student script, demonstrating each component of a complete, standardized gynecological exam training session for both breast and pelvic exams. The session with Christine includes patient-centered communication skills, as well as immediate feedback. Audience members will be able to practice what was learned, receiving immediate feedback on the clinical techniques and communication skills.
While all you have to do is attend and listen, questions and feedback will be encouraged during the latter half of the event. These events in the past have become a fun space for sharing, venting, and learning about our bodies and body autonomy. Although no audience participation is required, your feedback helps future doctors become more compassionate and understanding.

ABOUT THE HOST
Christine DiTolvo has been happy to be a Rockella tenant for just over a year now. She runs DiTolvo Glass Studio at One-Eyed Studios, where she focuses on stained glass art, as well as painting and other media. She would like to bring her knowledge as a GTA to the public, raise patient advocacy and healthcare standards, as well as practice/ exercise her thorough upcoming scripts with medical students.
Beyond her art & stained glass work, Christine’s secondary income was typically found through film/ television work. In solidarity, she supports the ongoing SAG strikes and therefore has decided to pick up part-time GTA work again- something she has not done since the 2020 lockdown. Her first session(s) back is November 15th at NYU, so this event helps her feel refreshed and prepared- in a fun setting!
Disclaimers:
While we are not trying to be exclusive, no one without having had a uterus may participate- we want all guests to feel safe about discussing their health if they want to. Also, while actual GTA sessions involve the GTA being disrobed, no such thing will occur at this event. Christine will pantomime all necessary parts of the instruction- either by hand or object. No feedback/ participant involvement is necessary. Simply being an audience member helps- although, your feedback may better the GTA as an instructor.
